What I’m Thankful For: Why MuckFest Matters
During the holiday season, it can become easy to get bogged down in shopping, planning, cleaning, and entertaining. While all of that is fun and festive, we wanted to take a moment this week to stop and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. 2019 has been a wonderful year, and there are so many things to make us smile and fill our hearts with joy. And maybe, just maybe, a heart full of joy (and shoes full of muck!) is the best present we can receive. 😊
Some of our amazing Muckers shared what they were thankful for this year, and how MuckFest fits into that list. We loved reading your responses, and we hope they also give you a chance to remember just what this season is all about. Joy is the best part of the MuckFest (and holiday) spirit, and our joy comes from each and every one of you…

I’m thankful for MuckFest because I can feel strong and accomplished while having a lot of fun. There’s a camaraderie that occurs between perfect strangers helping each other out that makes it an even better experience!
This year, I am thankful for my health, family and this journey towards fatherhood!
I’m thankful for all of the positive aspects of MS. I’m learning so much about myself, others, and how to make the most out of every opportunity this life gives. #mighty #strong
The MS battle, at least for me, is more mental than it is physical. Maintaining a positive attitude — even on the worst days — is the key to sustained success!
MuckFest has become an annual tradition now for my wife’s family!
I am thankful for my family and friends and for the Lord giving me another day on earth with them.
I am thankful
for every day I wake up and my feet touch the floor, and I’m so thankful for my
very supportive family and friends.
I’m thankful for all the amazing people I’ve had the opportunity to meet since I received my own MS diagnosis.
I am thankful for organizations like this one that work to bring awareness to MS.
I’m thankful for the most supportive husband anyone could ask for. I also am thankful for all my family and friends who give me constant support and lift me up when I am feeling down. And, of course, I’m thankful for my MuckFest crew, too!

I am thankful for my family who help me every day. Also, I’m thankful to still have my sight and legs.
I am thankful that my family, including our pets, got out safe from our house fire in November. It was a rough wait for a rental that would take us in, but we are now safe in a house temporarily while our home is rebuilt. We only lost stuff…and it is just stuff.
I am always thankful for the generosity of our donors!!!

I’m so very thankful for my friends and family. Being diagnosed is the scariest thing to experience and as my world was crumbling, they didn’t skip a beat to lift my spirits and keep me positive. I was just diagnosed after a first flare up in August and am already on a DMT. I am such a self-advocate now, but my support system is what got me there so quickly.
I’m always thankful for MuckFest. ❤️❤️
